In our walk with the Lord, we face many battles. Sometimes those battles are so fierce that we think we won't be able to win. It's in moments like these that we need a word from God. God's word is perfect and pure. Refined like gold, God's word can do what human words cannot.
His word is a sword that helps us strike down those thoughts the enemy puts in our minds. When you're praying and feel like you're lacking words or don't know how to pray, that's when God's word comes to your rescue and teaches you what to say. God's word is a shield against the enemy's threats. When the enemy comes to accuse you, that word stops every lie, because God's word is truth. It helps you resist every attack because it reminds you that you're not fighting alone.
God goes before you, lighting the way. The enemy can't take you by surprise, because before he moves, the light of the Lord has already dispelled all the darkness, and you can clearly see where the attack is coming from. His word is like a lamp lit in the darkness. When darkness comes to cloud your vision and stop you, take the lamp. Search the word to the depths. Let the Holy Spirit guide you and show you the word you need. God's word is perfect, pure, and never errs. God always knows what to say, so you can trust that he has the answer to your problem, because his word is faithful and true.
In his word, you will find refuge, strength, and sustenance. The word of our Lord is nourishment for our soul. Every word that comes from his mouth is like bread and water that satisfies to the depths of our being. His word is a sword that conquers sin, sadness, pain, depression, loneliness, sickness, hatred, resentment, bitterness, poverty, scarcity, drought, and even death. As soon as God declares the word, what He said will be done.
Therefore, cling to God's word in every battle you face. He always keeps His promises, so if He said it, He will do it. Trust and wait on Him, and you will see how your enemy will begin to retreat and your God will give you victory. Resist with the power of God's word and the Holy Spirit. Trust and don't give up; this war is already won.
